Rattled Today!!!!!
 

Well with the weather cloudy and cooler then it has been it awhile, I thought i would do a little light rattling. And man was it the right time, I rattled in 3 different Bucks and the last on ewas a dandy 8, that was real cautious as he came in and did'nt hang around long. But was a 140"class buck, guess he figured it was a fake fight real quick, when he did'nt see any deer? Man i wish i would of had a decoy? What are the best without breaking the bank(decoys).Iam not sure where all you guys and Gals live but its time to do a all day sit here in North Central Indiana, The bucks are up and crusin, although the ladies are not ready to breed just yet, But its time in Indiana????

Exactly, the bucks are ready, the does are not. Let's not let everyone misdiagnos this as the rut....the ladies determine the rut...the bucks just participate....

It should be getting good in the next 2 weeks.

I heard some bucks fighting this sunday but I couldnt see them, so I did a little rattling myself and called in 2 does and a 4 pointer. It was the first time I ever rattled in anything.

I tried rattling the other morning. I rattled every 45 minutes for about 1 minute long, =nothing happened. Maybe there was no damn bucks around. I put another stand on some other property overlooking cornfields, I'm in a corner.

friend of mine witnessed a monster 8 pointer just yesterday cruise by his ground blind with his nose up a does butt practically. woo hoo! hang on tight fellas!

Iam by no way a pro at it but make it sound as real as possible? Through in some grunts, I hang my horns from a small rope and dangle them hitting them together and hitting the ground, i contunie this for about 2/3 minutes, and then wait about 30 to 45, and go through it again. Good luck and dont get discouraged?
