To call or not to call
I live in the very midwestern part of Indiana, and I am planning to start using a grunt call on my next outing. Is it to early to try to make it sound like a buck is chasing a doe?

RE: To call or not to call
No its not too early to use a grunt call. I have been using mine since the season opened on Oct. 1. I have had numerous deer come in to my rattling and grunting already this year.

RE: To call or not to call
I call from as soon as season begins. I've been very successful in doing so. If you see a buck out of range and there is no chance he is coming your way....try to grunt him in. You may be surprised!

RE: To call or not to call
Use calls! I've called bucks in from the beginning of Oct to the end of our season mid Nov....it's never too early or too late. Like turkey hunting, you've got to know what to say and when.

RE: To call or not to call
Personally, I've had very mixed results with calls and have kind of gotten away from them. I know others swear by them, so it must be me.

RE: To call or not to call
I've never really used calls during this time of year. What Brand/model do you use and how agressive do you get with it. I also hunt in Midwest Indiana. Thanks.
