Yea, i am in the 50 plus range. I ussually give most of my deer away. I will keep one doe but other than that they all get given away. If i knew how much a pound of deer meat cost i would quit hunting lol, because i could eat ribeye steak every night!!!

$20 for the license
$2 for deer tag
That comes to $22.00

Another Method:
$230,000 For the property
$300 for the bow
$15 per arrow
$4.50 per broadhead
$100 per tree stand
That comes to $230,419.50 for the first deer and each one after that divides the cost in half.

I like the first method better. lol

If I killed my limit it would be 200 deer(which I won't). Even if they all just weighed 100 pounds that's 20,000 lbs.
So if I spent $10,000.00 (which I won't/didn't) it would just be $2.00 per pound.;)

Each year I tell the wife that there's a start up cost, but every year after it gets cheaper so the cost per pound is almost nothing. Yep that's what I tell her.

She's a good woman. I'm in the nothing years. The money I spend now comes from a different budget. Part of my health insurance. The cost there goes up all the time. Ya know how health insurance is.:D
