Another New Bowtech Question
What can be expected speed wise from a New General in the 50-60 lb Draw wgt.I shoot a 27.5 inch draw length and would shoot it maxed at 60 lbs.
How about with the speed Mods? I shoot a maxed out 70# ally now, but may wish to decrease the poundage on my next purchase. When I left the shop with my Ally new in 2005 it was set at 65# and fully set-up chrono'd at 270 fps shooting 8.4gpi beamans. Can I get a comparable FPS with the lower poundage (lighter arrow)? I'm no speed freak but I don't want to shoot slow, either. I'm strong enough to pull 70# and more but I do shoot alot and would use it as a target bow also..(Probably lower the poundage for indoors even more). Thanks |

RE: Another New Bowtech Question
I am sure that buckeye covered everything in the PM but I thought I would throw my two cents in anyway.
I know you mentioned wanting to go with a 60 lber and there is, ofcourse, nothing wrong with that. However, I have found the General to have a relatively smooth draw cycle. It is by no means a "round wheel" bow but it is very gradual in its build up to peak weight and then its transition into the valley. With that thought in mind I would suggest trying the 70 lber. I think you would find it smoother than your Allegiance. |
RE: Another New Bowtech Question
