Insult to injury
 

Sunday was the first day this season I got totally skunked. Didn't see a single deer. Well, last night around 10 PM, I am laying in bed and my wife says "what is that noise?". I knew right away what it was. A deer blowing outside our bedroom window. I got the flashlight and went out on the back deck. Sure enough, five deer (two buck) not fifty yards from the deck. It was like they were saying "come out and play now, sucker!". It was a rough night sleeping.

Yep thats the way it goes sometimes. I didnt go to my stand this morning as the wind is gusting from 25 to 50 mph but I can see my stand from my back porch. My wife just came in and said honey there is a buck under your stand and it was there just browsing around I watched him for about 20 minutes it was the first buck under my stand since before season cam in .

I would at least thrown a rock, or maybe kicked some dirt at them!! That would show them whose boss!!

Yeah. Somewhere in the woods, I am certain there is a command center with charts showing the routine for each hunter and where their stands are located. The deer probably even get text messages with updates.

It's kinda like Chick-Fil-A...you only crave their chicken sandwich on Sunday when they're closed!!
