Default Fresh Scrapes

I love this time of year! On my way out of the woods this morning I came across a couple of fresh scrapes. The first I have seen this year.

This is another one. Something was there very recently, see the wet spot on top, and the tracks directly in front of it.

Awesome. I saw scrape activity earlier this year than usual.

That looks good. Find a good spot nearby in a staging area and smoke that big boy. And also...might not be bad to hunt nearby around the noon hours, many bucks check scrapes then.

Missed a doe, and then another big deer 30 yards away but could not get a shot off because of
some thick cover. Then it blew and that was the end of it. It was a lot of fun deer seem to be moving pretty good. Farmer lets a father/son hunt during gun and the son (22 ish) was in my tree stand and I was not to happy about it. My nephew was heading to use so he went up and found a spot on the hill after walking around awhile and letting his presents be known. So much for that spot for a bit.[:@]
