I MISSED TWICE
 

last saturday i went bowhunting. I had never shot a deer with my bow before and i was excited. this doe walked 20 yards away from my stand. i stopped the deer and shot. the deer ducked and i missed by inches. so the deer blows and runs away. 5 minutes the same thing happened. IM PISSED

im sure hes good its just deer fever and nerves, hard to practice on a deer in the off season dont ya think?

Being 100% confident in your shooting and knowing you can absolutely make the shot, to me, is the best way to keep calm.

i missed a fox at 25 yards cuz of nerves, i knew i could make it i just thoguht it was 20 yards away.

i missed four times before getting my first deer last night, it happens to everyone man, i can seriously shoot a dime at 20 yards but sometimes you just rush the shot im tryin to be more patient

ill tell you right now....

Been there, done that...opening day of bow season of my second yearof bowhunting almost the same thing happened to me. A doe walked up...and i missed....that evening a small buck walked up...missed again

But guess what...exactly three days later that same buck came back, and he didnt leave to see another day!!

today i missed a doe, then a small buck, but the buck stayed so i ended up arrowing him. it looked like a good shot but its blood trails long and im yet to find him. but i know how u feel, i just got lucky and got another chance. were pretty similar. this would be my first deer when i find it and i shoot a 50# bow. good luck

oh and after today i think it may be important to get a rangefinder. i need one at least
