The streak continues....
 

Hunts # 8,9, and 10 this weekend. Still no deer sightings yet this year. At least 35 hours in 7 different stands across 4 different properties. Still haven't seen a hair. What a way to start the season! If you'd told me in September my season would be like this I wouldn't have believed you. I saw a ton of deer all summer long but a complete 180 starting on Oct 1.

I think I'm going to take 4 or 5 days off and regroup. We're heading north for bowcamp the first week of November. I feel pretty good about that. My dad's been seeing alot of deer up there so far.

On a positive note, on Friday night by dad sat in my stand and saw 12 despite the wind. Saturday morning by buddy from Indiana came up to hunt with me and saw 7 from the same stand. At least I know what stand I need to be in now! :D That ladder stand on the edge of the food plot is hot right now.

I just wonder how bad the buck fever is gonna hit me when I see that first deer of the season, even if it's a button buck I bet I'll get the shakes LOL...

The funny thing is I am really not that discouraged. I'm more so amazed at my bad luck. It's almost getting a bit funny...

The one thing I have NOT done this year is an all day hunt near a bedding area. Might have to try that soon.

x 2 buddy, im on hunt 10 and hour 25 and havent seen a thing anywhere near close to bow range. Ive become the laughing stock of my group. Ill keep pluggin away and hopefully itll happen. Goodluck man.

1, See tons of deer but no trophys

2, See 1 big trophy buck and slam it to the ground?

I'm in the same situation as you except I'm a little farther north in Manitoba. Its been 7 days in stand and I have yet to see a deer. I didn't get out for the first cpl weeks of season and found out there was 4 deer harvested off the ridge I'm on. By my buddy and the rookies he has taken out this yr[&o].
I hit a different spot and seen lots of buck sign but still no deer. I'm hopin this is my big deer year...... oh ya baby its a book buck. It alwasy seems to happen on a yr that I have no time.[:@]:([:@]:(:(:(
