First Shot Taken in the woods.
 

Well i got to my stand late tonight and as i was climbing up i seen a fox. I race to the stand and pull my bow up while i keep making noises to keep it in my lane. I nock an arrow with a practice tip and let it fly. I learned that It is hard to guess distances. I put it right behind it it leg and low. Clean miss thank god If i had a better bow my 20 yard pin would be good at 25 yards or mabey close to 30 yards.

You'll wanna use a BH next time you try to kill a fox Jimmy.

Judging distance is one of the hardest things to do. I like to practice judging distance every time I practice. A fox is a tough target. You will get it next time. ;)

Hey Jim, don't use a field tip for a fox, that is not good. I'm glad you missed it too.....remember small game heads for small game and birds, broadheads for everything else.

No bow has enough speed for the20 yard pintoshoot the same as the30 yard pin.;)Next time use BH.

ok i will use a BH but i dont want to ruin the pelt. I think ill take the ol 17 out of the cabinet.

The pelt wil be fine with a broadhead shot. I have sewed a bunch of them up after they are skinned.

yeah but i want to get the most money for this. If i have to use a gun thats fine.

You're gonna need a lot of fox pelts to get that $2000 bow.
