i agree that something had to be done..but the deer was not in real danger..actually it made me smile..simply
one in a lifetime thing that happens. i wouldnt kill it, but it could bedangerous to just run inand try to grab
a 2yr-3yr old buck..in the fall esp. the guy wasnt an idiot.

yeah right the deer could have ran up and flew and snaped his neck and landed and broke his back
that would be like someone holding you by your head and swinging you around in circles

I sure as hell wouldn't have tried to stop him!
What on earth can you do without risking getting antlered or kicked? I would have called the DNR, let the deer tire himself out and see if the DNR would let me start gun season a few weeks early!
