Take a look at Summit's swiftree climbing sticks. They are 17' high, come in three sections, and are easy to set up. In minutes you are up the tree. No straps to deal with.Very safe with stirrup like rungs so your feet dont slip out, and they are about the cheapest in price. I have 5 sets and wont use anything else!

I haven't used either of these name brands, but I have used both "types" of steps. The Summits (as stated) you have to put one foot on top of the other. I HATTTTTTTE this b/c it is VERY VERY unbalanced for me.
