Ive had ALOT of deer, bucks and doe, respnd to the M.A.D. Growl. Although, I bring alot of calls me with. I bring the Large MAD Growl, Small MAD Growl with the Snort Weeze attatched to it, Primos Cans(all 3 sizes) True Talker Adjustable Grunt Tube, MAD Doe Bleat, Fawn Distress Bleat and my Antlers. But, I use the Growl as a Grunt and Growl call. It works well. I called in a few bucks over my hunts, never closed the deal on a big boy though. I think it works well, but consider this: the Large Growl sounds like a LARGE buck, the Small Growl sounds like a mid ages buck. So you can look at it two ways. The Large Growls sound will travel further, but younger deer may, or may not be spooked by it because they think its a more dominant buck. The Small Growls sound wont travel as far but you are more likely to call in some smaller/younger/less dominant buck. So, if youre only out for a monster Boone buck, go with the Large, otehrwise, buy the 2 call combo (Small Buck Growl & Snort Weeze).
