I hunt 2 pieces JUST LIKE this. I look for tire tracts, a house, people, boot tracts,or ask the nieghbors if applicable. If its not posted or the posted signs are marked with dates fromover 2 years ago, I hunt it(NJ landowners are required to post properties if they wish to enforce no tresspassing and the signs can only be dated for 2 years(seasons)at a time).
Just because the land is not posted it doesn't give you the open option to hunt it. You need to find out who owns it and then you can hunt it. If everybody thinks like that and goes wherever they want then that makes the landowners not want to let anyone hunt there land, posted or not....

Thanks guys.

I've figured out who owns the property. It's a multi-billion dollar international corporation. Confirms my belief that this land was vacant industrial property left over from 40 years ago.

I would check out your local city office. Sounds like maybe it can be public land?
