Friend of mine killed this a couple of weeks ago in NC. Sorry for the blurryness, they've scored it at 144 and some change. Hopefully I posted the link correctly.

I'm betting that brute is an Eastern NC buck. I'm also betting the hunter shorted his deer (and himself) several inches. That's bigger than 144"!

GMMAT that deer was killed about 30 milesNorth of you in Wilkes County, that's the smallest of three we've seen. We've got a 8 pointer that'll go every bit of 21 inches wide and heavy. Just got to get him in range. This is my friend Todd, he's from OH, you should see the mounts he has from there. Several 170"'s one 200"+. He's lucky as can be.

Wilkes county produces more and more quality bucks than any other county in NC. If it weren't from Wilkes or Stokes.....I'd be surprised that it came from this side of the state.

It is a huge deer for this area but the picture makes it seem alot bigger than it really is, not sure why?

Wilkes is producing some nice animals. This gentlemen just gave me permission to hunt some of his property, but I've got a tract in wilkes of about 40 acres. There is a monster 11pt roaming around I just can't catch him in daylight. I've got another friend in the Raleigh/Durham area, he's killed some nice deer the last couple of years. He killed a 140+ 10 last week.

Someone said he didn't look happy. This cat has more big bucks mounted than you can shake a stick at. He's a tatto artist, (that's not under armour or camo on his arms) at his studio he has 2 160+, 170+, and a huge non typical 200+. He makes fun of how small the deer are around here. Most people that had access to land with one decent buck let alone 3 on camera consistently, wouldn't mention it, He's taken me Monday to to show me where to hang my stand and gave me free reign the rest of the season:). For those few that live close to yadkin his shop is in Jonesville, PM me and if you're ever in the area stop by and see some of his trophies. I'd be more than happy to introduce you.

Honestly those horns are not as big as the picture makes them out to be, VERY decieving (but big none the less)! He's having them officially scored for some local big buck contest, I'll scan a copy of the official score sheet and post it.

I think they left out many inches when they scored that buck. thats at least a 160's buck
