IL Record Class Deer
 

Has anybody heard of or seen a picture of a buck shot in southern Illinois that could be a state record?

Somebody should know somethign.

I've seen some pics a a huge non-typical, something like 291 gross but it was take with a crossbow....Don't know of that's the one you're talking about or not. Here's the link..

Nope, that isn't the one. That buck was from the 2001 season. The one I am talking about is from the 2002 season. Although, that is one heck of a deer!!

I heard something about it, supposedly came from a county south adjoining mine, but I hear these same rumors every year.

I heard of a tremendous Typical shot during the firearm season this past November by a women that gross scored 221 and change....TYPICAL that was shot in southern IL. The biggest buck I seen at a Check Station was a 190 class NET Typical, bowkilled from Warren co.

A group of guys go down to this guys property to pistol hunt every year. So it is a county that allows pistol hunting. One of the guys has a picture of it, but I haven't been able to look him up since I heard about it. But I don't know what county. Supposidly, the taxidermist or someone is picking up the tab on the mount and that it will be at the Clasic come Feb. I guess I can always see it there!!

But heck, I would like to see some pictures of the ladies buck, and the 190 class deer!!
