Recommendation on Doe Bleats
Anyone use doe bleats regularly, just looking for some suggestions on when and how to use them. I am in an earn a buck zone, sw wisconsin and as the rut draws nearer, I have still had no success in harvesting my doe. I have seen a ton of deer on our farm but have had nothing within 50 yards except bucks. A good problem to have but after I shoot a doe.

it might be too late in the year already, but have you tried a fawn in distress call? might be some young does around that would come in to it still.

I know in our area of NY, I can still get good response from a fawn bleat this time of year. Best call I have ever used.

RE: Recommendation on Doe Bleats
Slinger was referring to a fawn in distress.. it sounds almost like a baby crying.. lawn drawn out bawls.. it can be used year round.. ( i use it for coyote hunting) but it will bring in a momma doe to investigate sometimes..

RE: Recommendation on Doe Bleats
Knight and hales arent the greatest call on the market.. I go with primos the can for doe bleats.. but i was messing with the M.A.D. bleat call and it sounded pretty good.. its a blow mouth call.. sounds pretty sharp.. (although i only blew it once, i was in the store and im pretty sure you arent supposed to be blowing on them in the store. D'oh! )
