noisy climber stand

I have a hunters view climbing tree stand. It was pointed out to me recently (thanks Lefty!) that I make a lot of noise when I am setting up and climbing (probably mostly my fault). Once I am settled in, it is quiet.

I would like to ask if anyone has suggestions on steps I can take to quiet this stand when setting up and climbing.

thanks,
Rick C.

Get there early and take alot of time climbing. Just slow way down.

RE: noisy climber stand

I have been climbing with my stand before and had bucks coming running in. I think it's because it sounds like a deer rubbing a tree or fighting, but my api climber isn't that noisey

not familier with that climber but i have used moles hair, leather,to avoid any metal/metal contact and "great stuff" expanding foam in hollow tubes. like mentioned getting used to the climber will help a bunch also.
