Calling deer
This is my first year bowhunting and my first year hunting from a stand. The pro shop told me to get a Primos Buck Roar. I watched the video, and it shows how to make the sounds, but not really the sound pattern, frequency, blind calling, etc.
Does anyone have any good video/text links that explain the proper use? I don't want to get out there and sound like a marching band, or a retarded buck.

RE: Calling deer
I wouldn't mess with the Buck Roar or the Buck Growl. I think those two have bagged more hunters than bucks. Get a regular grunt tube, Truetalker is good. And practice. The key to good calling is to get into it, don't call without confidence. I'm not a big fan of "blind" calling either. I like to call to bucks when I can see there reaction to the calls than you can adjust accordingly.
