Congratulations in finding your deer.
Rain will not make the deer die any quicker. IMO you still have to wait it out even if it means no blood trail.
So like you I planned to let it sit for 4-5 hours. Well, then it started sprinkling. I didn't have a choice but to push the animal. I jumped him up 4 times.

Yes, I did read that you found the deer, and I congratulate you on that in this particular case. However, I seem to hear as a general rule that a person needs to start tracking sooner then they would have because ofweather conditions. My point was that these conditions will not make the deer die any quicker. Nothing more.
