ASAT 3d Suit?

I've been thinking about buying a ASAT 3D Leafy suit. (If I can find one) I have a few concerns.

Living in South Carolina, our season runs from August 15th --Jan1st.I hunt A LOT. Sometimes three to five days a week. And for the most of our season its warm outside. So we sweat a lot sowe have to wash our camo A LOT!

1) Will the color fade?

2)Will the fabric get smelly? (i don't use jerzee (sp)brand clothesanymore b/c no matter how much
you wash it, it still stinks after you have sweated in it.

3) Will the suit itself hold up to being washed several times a week?

I've been using my ASAT 3D suit for the last 3 seasons, I've washed it 30 or so times with no fading. I usually don't put it on until I'm in my stand to cut down on briar snags (the suit is printed mesh w/ fabric sewn on).

As far the "blobing" effect, ASAT is the "anti blob".

I dont know about the ASAT fading, but I do know a heck of alot about washing camo in the early season. If my gear touches my body, it gets washed. Even if its just for a second. Ill tell you what, ditch the ASAT idea, because with that camo you just look like a big dark blob in the tree. Do yourself a favor and buy something with a very open pattern that deer see through, like PREDATOR or NATURAL GEAR. Ive washed my PREDATOR almost every day since the season opened Sept 8th. Hasnt faded a bit. They've got some great patterns, I have 4 or 5 sets of various patterns.. Good luck !!
Not exactly how you do things up north - Don't really care -

First off I use ASAT camo exclusively and it is the most OPEN patern I could find.

Mabey you are just confused-Mabey it is a Marine thing

As far as washing your ASAT camo worn in the hot sticky South - You don't at least not very often.

I wear Under Armor, a "T" shirt and shorts under my ASAT suit. Keeps me comfortable and fairly cool.

I don't think the ASAT suits material is very absorbant, and I see no need to wash mine 3-4 times a week - especially at hunting camp where laundry is a problem.

I fill a bucket with water and add some baking soda to it mix it up some and add the camo. Let it sit for a bit give it a stir , let it sit a little longer.

Take it out of the bucket, give it a quick rinse and hang it out to dry. DONE

The suit is not made out of cotton so it does not really absorb sweat and stink. A quick dip and she is ready to go.

No reason to beat the tar out of it 3-5 times a week with the washing machine.

I am pretty anal about keeping scent free and this works for me

I'm with cptleo,

The 3-D suit is probably the suit that I'd be least worried about fading and picking up a lot of sweat
cause you are probably going to be wearing something under the mesh suit.

I washed mine 3 times to make it quieter and I haven't noticed any fading (slight whitening at seams, but
not on the pattern itself).

Thats an interesting comment considering that ASAT, Predator, and Enigma areconsidered tobe the "leaders" in open camo.

Personally,I like the look of the Predatorbetter, but I am not trying to hide from myself.

I was looking at the ASAT DvD and Website. Interesting that theysay that if you don't see more game whileusing their camo in a year, they will buy it back.
