RE: show me your mounts
np & mauser...sorry it took so long to reply. I've been super super busy (and not with hunting )
The form is from McKenzie Taxidermy Supply. The artist is Ben Mears and the style is Hooking Aggressive. (Can't find a pic so if you are seriously interested you should probably requesta pic just to be positive this is it). I'll PM you both to be sure you get this.

RE: show me your mounts
guess i should update since someone dug this post up
i went to the taxidermist a couple days after making that post.
i had an idea of what i wanted...took pics to the taxi and he liked my ideas...
in the past, they had to modify forms to do what i wanted...
not so anymore...Mckenzie came out with the 6400 series..its a semi sneak pose but they have the option of head up or head down, and also are offset so the shoulder is there.
i went with the head down and left turn...
going to go to the taxi when the form comes...i wanna see it in person before it gets underway...we MIGHT modify it farther more....maybe exaggerate the turn, lower the whole mount, or lower the head slightly more..or put the head on more of a turn..just some ideas that i MIGHT go with...its REALLY hard to tell what it will look like by looking at a 1" photo of a form in a catalog....i just know thats REAL close to what i wanted...closest there is...
my taxi LOVES modifying forms and is awesome at it...so thats no biggie...he likes putting out something different...i cant wait...

RE: show me your mounts
Took this one with my Savage 7mag Thanksgiving evening in 2005.
We call him "Scar" from all the battle scars on this nose.
This second one was my first bow kill last year.

RE: show me your mounts
yeah, sorry about the delay mauser!!! Sounds like you have a good taxi...my good friend does mine and he likes to experiment with mounts as well. Always make me nervous at first but he has a 'natural' eye when it comes to the mounts themselves and always does a fantastic job. Anyways, post up some pics when you get it back.
