Stalking in the corn

Has anyone here ever tried stalking deer in a unharvested corn field? I thought it might be kind of hard to manuver through the dry corn stalks without spooking them. I am trying to think of what options i have to find the deer since they are staying in the corn till after dark. Any help appreciated.

I can be done quite effectively on a day with a little wind. It's something I've done many times during gun season, with varying degrees of luck, but I've never tried it with a bow. Move perpendicular to the rows of corn only barely peaking your head into the next row before moving all the way into to it.

Check out Eberharts bow hunting pressured whitetails. He has a whole section on the subject.

Oh young Daniel-Son....This can very effective, with a bit of wind and alot of hunting pressure. Head 90 degrees to the rows, poke you head through the rows scan back and forth. If a bedded deer is spoted back up a dozen rows move down on it and continue stalk. I have taken many doe (never a buck) using this method. I have shot a couple as close as 2 rows away.
