Video for all you Predator non-believers...

Just got back in from hunting a couple hours ago...I was at it for about 12 hours. I'm exhausted to say the least. I probably had one of the best hunts I've ever had, considering I didn't take anything. Today was still-hunt day.:)

Heres a video of a buck I was able to take. I was checking out some fresh rubs when all of a sudden a doe pops up. She wandered on off never seeing me. Few minutes later, this guy comes strolling in about 10 yards away from. Now remember, I am on the ground and out in the open on top of the same ridge as the guy is on. I was pretty excited that he never caught on.

While still-hunting this morning, I had quite a few deer pass by me that never saw me. It was an awesome day! Found a new spot for a stand, cut some lanes, and hunted there again tonight. This guy came back around but evidentally smelled me this go-round.

Thanks guys! The video quality is not the best but what can you expect from a pocket sized digi cam?

If you had on ASAT or ENIGMA......you could have jumped on and rode him.

No...really.

(Cool video).;)

Really cool vid.

Last year I had a close encounter (15-20 feet) on the ground with 1 doe and 2 yearlings slowly feeding
by, but I wasn't wearing an open pattern (some kind of hardwoods), I just happened to be on
the edge of some thick stuff, was stone still and had the wind in my favor. When they were facing
away I dropped on a knee and watched them - it was pretty incredible. The funny part was they kept
looking past me to an old stand about 75 yards away. :D

I'm wearing ASAT and Predator Fall Grey this year.

Jeff's comment reminded me... It's been a few years since we've had the obligatory "I-stalked-up-and-touched-a-whitetail" post... :D

Greg/MO,

So far this year I think we have the I spit a big wad of chew on a doe's back and a deer was sniffing my
dump at the bottom of my stand. That's about the closest to human - live deer contact we have gotten. :D

Greg

This Saturday my uncle came and hunted with me. I was wearing my Predator, he ask me if it work. I said any open pattern is better than the popular stuff.

Anyways you guys have see my Video of deer around me for 3 + hours with being notice. He(Uncle) had three does 50 yds out, he said "They Kept eye balling me".

Guys when you watch the tv shows take notice of one thing, how many time a whitetail looks in a tree and picks these guys off. It is truly nuts to watch.

Glad I've played some small role in your continuing education as a bowhunter!! :)

It's too bad some of the smaller companies that make open patterns can't afford to put up the $$ and throw their weight around, too... I'd love to see what some of the pros would wear given a choice. I could definitely see Greg Miller in some Predator, and I heard Lee Lakosky used to wear it before needing those sponsors... Nothing wrong with that at all -- if that was true -- but, like I said... I'd like to see who would pick what given an equal playing field.

I'd like the open patterns to become more mainstream so the cost would come down a little and they'd be easier to find. My problem is that I'm on a budget and my Mossy Oak stuff is only 3 years old. I can't justify spending the big bucks on Predator from Gray Wolf Woolens. I could affort the cotton stuff from cabelas but I really don't like cotton.

I'll have a Predator fall grey suit someday. That stuff looks amazing.

Thanks again guys.

I would love to own a suit from Gray Wolf Woolens as well but I don't see spending that amount of money. It better last me the rest of my life.

One thing I found odd yesterday evening in my treestand. I was continuously getting picked off by squirrels. Deer didn't notice me but squirrels did.[&:]
