Yep, without a doubt. I was shooting a bow for probably 5 years before I hunted with one (unless you count squirrels, doves, chipmunks, tweety birds, and rabbits [8D]). I actually work harder on training for competition than I do for hunting.......I suppose that will change in a few years though probably.

Yes, I would still shoot and practice with a bow. Couple of reasons, One, I do enjoy the satisfaction I get from archery, second, if and when I ever have to defend myself and or country I like having the option of silence!
