Under Armour Cold Gear

I bit the financial bullet and purchased the under armour cold gear bottoms and long sleeved top yesterday. I am really looking forward to trying it out but I never thought I would own $100 long underwear...

Anyone else using this stuff? Thoughts? Opinions?

I have it. It keeps you warm by keeping you dry. But the wind goes right through it. It's definitely not enough on it's own on a cold day.

Like they said, by itself it ain't jack. When you first put it on it feels cool, but layered it works.

ditto to the above. I think they wick moister away so fast it makes you feel cold, on second thought there's no feel to it you are. It being so tight doesn't help. Some how though they do work. Some heavy weight polypro or fleece as the next layer is very nice in the cold

$100??I went to my local Army Surplus store and got the Poly propelene that they issue to the troops it's thicker then UA zips up to a turtle neck and two sets top and bottoms were $68. My stuff is 2x, my son's were large. I also got a wool sweater for the boy for $5.

Here's a picture of the stuff, been using it for years, and the wind don't cut through it.

I agree with Charlie, that PolyPro is very good stuff.

It's spandex fellas, read the fiber content part of the label.

I have UA heat and cold and love them both! I agree that he cold gear allows the wind to go right through it, but the clothing is not marketed as wind resistance. I keeps me warm and I'll continue using mine!
