The buck I passed up lastnight w/pics!
 

Well at the beginning of the season I made a vow to not kill anything off camera this year, as i had done in years past.........It is gonna be footage w/kill shot or nothing................welllast nighti had a really good buck on me at 17 yards, had the camera rolling............but it was just too dark to get any decent footage.........................sooooooooooooo I passed him up! After reveiwing the footage I am kinda kicking myself,(he's a super buck) but I am a man of my word and since the footage would have been too dark i made the right decision, here are some pics, it's dark and grainy but you can get an idea of what he is...........

As you can see the pics. are very grainy it was almost to dark to shoot my bow, and I had the gain all the way up on the camera,shutter slowed and iris wide open...........if only he would have been 5 mins. earlier [X(]
Oh well he had no idea i was in the world so hopefully I'll get the drop on him again!

Kudos for sticking to your commitment. That's a nice buck. Good luck on the next enounter. The first pic look like he's eyeballing you. Did you make it out without spooking him?

Thanks........he did look up at me, then proceeded to browse alittle on a bush.........he walked out of the area unalarmed, and i waited til well after dark to climb down...........I am fairly confident he did not know I was there, I exited away from the area he walked off.

Way to stick to your word. Thats a really nice deer, but i thin youll be much more happy if you have all the experience captured in good quality footage.

To me, its almost as good of a feeling passing up nice bucks, knowing you could have shot them
