Help needed, Deer Hit

My dad hit a buck last night and wasn't sure of the hit so we backed out. Went back out this morning and found the arrow 30 yards from the stand and its broke off. There is about 10 in of the arrow still in the deer. We cannot find any blood or get any kind of direction of which way he went. I think he hit high and the opposite shoulder and has no exit hole. But i still think there should be blood somewhere. There is only a few spots of blood on the arrow and it looks like pretty good blood. It could be meat blood though. We are going to get some breakfeast and go back out. Let me hear some of your thoughts.

Look at the spots of blood and determine which way they are "pointing"......What I mean is, if the deer were running due west, the blood drop would hit the ground and splatter pointing to the west.....You could at least get a direction of travel....

Say a prayer. Get back out there and give it your very best effort. Ifthe deer i**** hard, he will take the course of least resistance. Leave no stone unturned. Hopefully, you'll find him-give it everything you've got...before you say amen, ask God if he could play it all again!

thats a tough one, he wont bleed much but probally ran less that 150 yards. If you cant find blood get 3 guys and do a grid search of the area and look in brushpiles. best of luck to ya. keep us posted
