My incredible night hunting!
 

Well I have been trying to stick a doe for a while now and I havent closed the deal thus far. I got in my stand at 5 pm. At 5:25 a grey fox walks by at 20 yards. At 5:45 a nice 8 pointer comes out to get a drink. He was a nice buck but still young; he was a little wider that his ears. Then as soon as he walks out of sight I look back and there is another 8 pointer. This one a little smaller. Then 2 minutes later here comes a Monster 10 point. The 10 point(155") walked within 3 yards of my stand and had no clue I was ever their. Then I had 2-3 more bucks walk out(little ones). I saw at least 6 differant bucks tonight and not one of them ever had a clue Iexisted. All these bucks where within 20 yards of me.Then they started sparring like crazy right under my stand. I sat there for 1 1/2 hours after dark because I could here them still sparring. I never thought it could be this hard to kill a doe. What a night!

I already shot a buck this year and all I have left is 4 doe tags.

Man that just sucks. I think in most counties here there is a limit of 5 and no limit in the rest for antlered deer. The problem is most people don't let the little boys go.

I tell ya....I would hate to live in a state that you were only allowed one buck....here in SC we are working on some limits, but 1 a year? thats just sad.[X(]

Not sad at all. Here in Wisconsin your allowed one per bow and one per gun season. I believe if you allow multiple tags on bucks you will see a definite decline in numbers and quality. At one a year most people will opt to wait for a quality buck. give them two or more tags and they might take a borderline buck just because they still have a tag.
