when do you guys start putting out mock scrapes?

I have been seeing scrape activity increase over the last two weeks....you can put one out now if you refresh it every now and then. Good luck and hope a nice one cruises along!

I agree. They are starting to scrape. I ususally do late october.

I found a couple last week already, so I would guess you could start utilizing that tactic. I'm not sure, but I would suspect it would be more effective toward the end of November.

I used mock scrapes a few times last season, and I had some 1 1/2 y/o bucks bury their noses in them. I'm not sure yet, but I don't think I'll be doing that this year. I don't see the advantage. I don't think the scrape is what brings them to my location.....It may however distract them for a moment though...

Was out pheasant hunting down the road witha buddy today, I saw a lot of scrape activity. It's commin boys!

I think this isa good time to start. Refresh here and there. I did last year, I don't think that it really attracted any deer, but it did get there attention shortly while they walked by. It might be just enough to let one fly.
