Oh my GOD !! That deer has charector. You see how he has kind of "webbed" antlers ? That deer is 1.5yo and his genetics are outstanding. If he is a good representation of what you have in that area, then you're sitting on what could possibly be the home of the next BIG boone & crocket buck. I garuntee you, and I would stake my reputation (HA) and my life savings that the deer in this picture would have been a boone & crocket buck in a few years. Congrats on the buck Sir, hope someone smacks his big brother or father this season as well. Im telling you, I know deer genetics and Ive studied wildlife for years, that deer has incredible genetics

Bullhockey..... Incredible genetics????? He's a rag horn year and a half old deer. There are a lot better deer than that running in most woods at that age. You can't tell at this point what he has. The largest racked youngbuck I ever heard of was a 14 inch 14 point year and half old deer. All you can tell at this point is.... he's an average deer.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the guy that shot him. Good for him. He wanted to and he did it. I just can't buy the "Incredible Genetics" tag.

Congrats, DAD! I only hope that I am blessed to be still hunting at that age.
