Warning to ASAT leafy suit wearers....

[&:]No, there is nothing wrong with the suit itself...in fact they are great for hunting in warm weather. But, (my own fault) I didn't try shooting with it on before I went to the woods. I've never had any problems with string slap before..., but drew back on a nice doe, loud twang and slap... arrow falls left and over a foot below the animal. The string actually got caught up in the loose, "blousy" part of the sleeve. I would say try it out before hand and you might want to consider putting on a forearm protector to tighten down and gather up all the loose material. One of the things that keeps itscool to use is its loose fit...but it could be a hazard when shooting. Just a thought...might save you a poor shoot on a deer. Good thing for me, never touched a hair on her...so at least I don't have a wounded deer on my conscience. ;)

A nice doe is probabley what he was looking for to put in the freezer......... to bad. I practice with all my hunting clothes on, that way I don't run into any problems. A buddy of mine did that from one of my treestands the other day.

i never had it happen, but when i have anything more than a button down shirt on, i have an arm gaurd on..JUST to compress my jacket or coat and keep it away from the string...just dont wanna see the side effects you seen...or worse...wounding one because of it.

give it a shot...

I practiced with mine with no problems. I got the medium even though it is a tighter fit cause I didn't want
it to be loose. It isn't as quiet as my Cabelas' Silent Weave Predator, which is why I haven't worn the 3D pants.

I always make an attempt to harvest mature animals, whether a buck or doe, if possible. Didn't anticipate that being a objectionable adjective...also really didn't have anything to do with the post...just trying to help my hunting brothers. ;)

I always use an arm guard even though when I practice with the jacket I get plenty of clearance (I also use a CSS). That's too bad on the doe, but now you know.
