Start bow season later?
I think the deer season should be started later and end later, especially here in the south. We really want to do some doe management early in the season, but just about every mature doe has spotted fawns with them in Sep. What do yall think?

Why not just start it normal and end it later.
I hate that arguement here in PA too. Start later and end later!? That’s dumb. Start when it always has and end later. We have too short an archery season in this state as is.

I agrea with starting later in the year, not only because of spotted fawns being with their mothers, ITS JUST TOO DAMN HOT!!!!. Most of my time on the stand has been a waste, Ive looked at does with fawns that were born late and small young bucs that are not as wise as their dads yet!. Not to say that I dont enjoy being out in nature " thats the main reason that I hunt", its just a drag when its 90+ degrees out and you dont see nothing worth shooting, andsent control is out the window.I personally would like to see the season start here in Georgia mid- October and run until Feb 1, but thats just me!.

rybohunter, I'm not saying we should shorten the bow season just shift it all back a couple of weeks. The state of Ga. allows 10 doe per season but they cant expect us too shoot them with fawns, they need a couple more weeks to ween off their mothers.
