Lovin' this bow thing! I thought I was past the 'deer jitters'.
I went out tonight to and sat on a ditch bank with my 6yr old about an hr before dark. We didn't sit there for more than five minutes and a nice size doe walked out on the opposite side of the ditch. Then it took her about ten minutes to get turned and in range. I pulled back, then my freaking arrow fell of the string!! I've been shoting twice a day for three weeks and never thought that this would happen.
Eventually she got turned back, and I took the shot. SOB if she didn't drop straight to the ground and the arrow passed right over her spine. She eventually went back into the weeds, and wecrossed the ditch to check to retrieve the arrow and make sure it was a miss. One small tuff of back hair.
Overall, I'm glad I had a clean miss. I knew bow hunting was going to be a chalange, but I didn't think I'd get the jitters like this!!

Isn't adrenalin a wonderful thing. It's that Rush that keeps us coming back, it's the only drug I want!
