AAAHHHH!, That was COOL
What a relief it was to get into my stand and not be sweating tonight. It was 61* when I left the house and 53* when I got back a little while ago. I almost got chilly in the stand for a while when the wind was blowing.
And the deer liked it too. I saw 5 does and 4 fawns tonight.6 of them came out on the other side of the yard I was hunting in. (Oaks all across the back of this property.) They fed over there for an hour. Every oncein a while it looked like they started playing tag, chasing one another around, and bucking and going on.Then they started staring inmy direction. I turn around and there is a doe with 2 fawns headed right to me. They fed on past me at 15 yards, but the doe never offered me that perfect shot. I only take perfect shots in my subdivision. Don't feel like tracking one across everybodies yards.
Well at least the activity started before dark. Now if I can just get the bucks to come out to play.

Being a fat guy I can relate. It almost brought a tear to my eye when I got the shivers while sitting on stand. You will never hear me complain of the cold. 42 degrees and it was nice. 30 when I woke up this morning.
