It's the strangest thing here. So far there don't seem to be any rubs anywhere. I've talked to atleast 2 dozen other bowhunters, and they are saying the same thing. No rubs to be found.
What does anyone guess is causing this?

Odd. I've found a few around here, and I even found a couple scrapes today. Not breeding scrapes I'm sure, but still....

Maybe it's been the heat??
A guy down the street said most of the bucks he's seen have dark racks.

I'm glad I'm not the only one not seeing rubs. I was beginning to worry. My guess: the heat (and not the doe kind).

I seen one on the edge of a corn field walking out that was not there when I went in. I am going to hunt it this evening and see what happens.

I had seen a couple prior to this past weekend. This weekend I saw several, maybe 6 or 7.I have also seen a couple of half hearted ground scrapes.
I believe it is the heat. Some have suggested that when the acorn crop is light bucks don't rub as much,I had even read that in an article one time.I don't believe it for a moment though. What about area's that have no oak tree's.
