We found very small blood drops after I had lost the trail, earlier. I just had to take Greg to the shop.....and I'm back at it. The meat may be spoiled.....but I need to know.
Bright red blood.....not pink.....and the ONLY thing keeping me back at this (after 4.5 hours on a sparse blood trail).....is....I CAN'T FIND MY ARROW.[:'(] I have walked the entire trail twice, now. It's not on the trail (that I can find). I'm certain it would tell me a lot. I was about 22-23' up.....shot was about 24yds. Even if I hit her low (I aimed lower).....shouldn't my arrow be in the ground from that angle? I would think so.
I'm heading back out as soon as I hydrate a bit. It's gonna be 90, today. Man my season has had more downs than ups. If I find my arrow....I'll feel better. If I don't......I'll keep looking for the doe.

Sorry to hear that! A race against time is the worst! Thats why I refuse to hunt in the hot weather, it just adds another variable in the mix of what can go wrong! I hope you find her and at least you'll know, not knowing sucks! Better luck Jeff!

a sparse trail with the Rage heads dont sound too typical though...(assuming your still shooting rage heads...) something wierd happend...good luck buddy...keep us posted...
