Default tHow many of you hunt the late bow season?

Here in wv our bow season starts this coming saturday oct. 13 and doesnt end until december 31st. I was wondering how many of you go back out with your bow after the rifle and muzzleloader seasons and how much success you have had in the late season?

I will be this year for the first time (only been hunting bow for two lol), I haven't had much opportunity to hunt this fall, and I should be able to find more time for the late season

I have many years. I usually saved a doe tag for that season. I love hunting whitetails in the snow plust the added challange of very wary PA whitetails was fun as well. I've been successful on rare years.

I did however purchase a flintlock and I'm one for one with it. It was great fun and an added challenge within itself however, usually it's the bow for me. Until this year though I haven't had a doe tag and I tag out on my buck in the first season. Second season was usually about bunnies.

Next to hunting the rut, right before the gun season........I love late season! Predator camo (fall grey) high up in the treestand with very few leaves in sight. Very easy to read the highly used trails in the snow!

Good Luck!

We don't really have a "bow season". Our gun season opens up Aug. 15th and goes out Jan. 1st.

Like Rob said. I love hunting whitetails in the snow. Nothing like walking up to this. A big buck laying on the blood covered snow.
