Pictures from the stand

I took these the night i shot my doe.

I shot here just to the left of the dead branch, in between the first light strip and second light strip of beans.

Where they come out. Where the CRP, RailRoad Grade, bean field and river all meet. They Cross the grade here.
This is hust off to my East. In the middle right side of the picture you can see the trail entering the old railroad grade.

Here is River behind me

y'all got me wanting to hunt field edges .... I usually go in at least 40 yards to hunt those inside trails, but many times I have walked out to the field and seen deer ......

Germ ... ya got pics of your doe? Sorry if you already posted them somewhere else

Germ, you and that river!

Looks like a nice setup, especially so close to da river with that tree cover. They have to
funnel through your area to get anywhere.

GMMAT, didn't know you were so close to buildings/structures. Looks easy to sneak in and out.

LeBeau:

Those last 2 photos were taken on Monday evening. it's the closest I've ever been to there. I'd witnessed the deer crossing the empty horse pasture and exiting right where I was, on Saturday. They showed, sure enough, but took a right before they got to the fence line and backtracked. I dont have a clue as to why.

I'd show some from my normal stands.....but it's pretty thick....and not very much to share. here's why I like hunting AROUND that pasture....

The area to my right (stand photos) is the area I see MOST of the bucks I see. They come by there scent-checking that field. I won't go over there until the magic time. The first photo you see is the biggest deer I've seen in my woods.....after he exited this pasture (after scent-checking the area QUICKLY, by himself).....and exiting straight across from where the other photos were taken. I was also in the same tree I took my '06 buck I had mounted when I snapped that photo of him. had I had another tag.......well:D. I haven't been in that area in almost 3 weeks, either....and I might not go back there until Nov., either.

Ah yes, I know this tree. ;)

Jeff, you should open up a Photobucket account (free), it's so much easier and will allow you to put all your pics in one post....easier.

Great pics Germ. I love the river hunting and someday would love to experience it with you if nothing more than as a camera man. If I tag out before you, I have the time off. ;)

Actually, Rob.....you don't!...lol

If you'll notice mid-way up on the right side.....you'll see the top of the barn (blue metal roof). I'm across the pasture from where you know.

Oops, wrong side...lol but from the looks of those doe over there, you hunt one side, I'll take the other.;)
