SCORED TWICE...
 

Hello all,
Couldn't hunt in the morning on opening day. I did however get to go out in the afternoon on the new property I got into this year. Got out at 3:30pm and saw a doe as soon as I sat down. Later on 3 fawns and 2 mother does slid past me @ 35 yrds and headed to the corn field. A fawn from inside the timber had picked me off when I had turned to face the field. She started yelling at me, which put the mothers on alert. The fawns didn't pay to much attention to the screeching but one of the mothers started her slow high stepping back toward the timber. I got her stopped around 26 yrds. I was perfect side to side one my shot but just a little high. She dropped straight to the ground and finished her with another. What a way to start off the season...nice big doe and already in the freezer..:) Don't mind the date on pic....my wife grabbed my daughters camera and never checked the date..[&:] The second one I told the guy I'll take it tonight....have to pick it up next week....leave for Shawnee tomorrow..[8D]

Congratulations on the whitetail and the ? Softail.

I'm in the market for both...lol Got my doe tag in the mail and I've been looking at both Softtails and Fatboys.

Thanks all....It was just as exciting harvesting the doe;) It's a 2006 Dyna Wide glide like Bowman said.
It's has 1600 miles on it. He said he just don't get to ride it much! I got it for a great deal plus 4yr warranty that comes with it!
Heading Down to Shawnee National Forest Tomorrow (Not taking bike...ha!)for a few days. Hope it cools down some so those snakes can crawl back underthose rocks..[8D]
