does dead down wind spray really work?

Does the Dead Down Wind scent killer spray really work, like if you spill something on your clothes, will it eliminate the smell, or it just gets rid of less extreme odors like sweat...

Not trying tostart a controversyor debate, just wondering how good it works.

I think it works pretty well. I have not spilled anything on me to cover the smell. My huntingclose also never smell like sweat because i wash them a lot. But i do think ddw is a very good sent spray for hunting. just like other cover up sprays.

Unless we poll the deer....we'll never know, for sure. BUT....I'd like to think it helps mask the odors I'm taking in with me. If not....I'm sure wasting a lot of time and a little money.

Dont ask how it happened, but a buddy of mine got some rotten chicken juice squirted on him. No shower or hose around but he did have a bottle of dead down wind spray and sprayed himself down pretty well and no more nasty rotten chicken smell. Ive also had good luck with it deer hunting.

I love Scent Shield and Scent Killer...give White Lighting or Ti14a try!!

White Lightning WILL leave a residue (chalky) on all your stuff. If you get this on your arrows......BE CAREFUL.....they may make a noise when being drawn back through your arrow rest.

Just my experience.

Well, since you didn't gibve anoption that it eliminates MOST odors, I voted SOME.

I've been using it exclusively for the past 2 seasons and I believe it works. It's just plain hot here in Texas in the early season and I can't always clean up after the morning hunt so I spray liberally with eth spray and have yet to be busted in 2 seasons. I believe it works better than most of the other stuff out there. It smells kindda funny when you first spray it on, but it dissipates quickly.

Tried it on gas, worked OK. Tried it on my son's Hockey shin guards, not so good, but hey have you ever smelled hockey shin guards!

It works better than anything else i have used. The foam stuff takes the smell of gasoline right off your hands!

Id say it eliminates MOST odors because nothing eliminates ALL

Maybe 99.9% like purell hand sanitizer [8D]

Let's put it this way... As a testI sprayed my stinky gym shoes w/ it and you couldn't smell them anymore.... it works.

YMMV - It depends and that applies to every single scent eliminator and I've used quite a few. If you're hunting from a tree stand and it took very little effort to get to it and into it you'll probably see good results with any good cover scent/eliminator. If you just did the kind of hunting I just did in Montana where you climb 1000-3000 vertical EVERY day there is no way to eliminate all odor because you're generating stink and sweat and you really rely on wind direction.. I still use cover scents and eliminators because I feel they help, but they aren't magic. Chuck Adam's subscribes to a similar philosophy.
