Over hunting?

I hunt the same stand maybe 3-5 times a week, is this too much? I consistantly see deer but i was just thinking that i should give it a break for a couple of days.

If the wind is absolutely perfect every single day, you spook no deer going to or from your stand, and you don't get busted for any reason while still on stand.....still give it a break for a few days. Regardless of how well you control your scent and all that jazz, you will eventually educate the deer as to your stand whereabouts and they will tend to avoid it. You mentioned that you see deer all the time from that stand, are they all out of range? Are they all moving very cautiously and nervously? If they are, it's already past the time when you needed to give it a break and try another stand.

If everything is perfect, meaning scent control/wind/thermals and being able to enter and exit your stand unknown to the deer roaming your neck of the woods you could probably get away with hunting the same stand 2-3 times a week. I personally wouldn't try hunting any one stand more than 3 times a week, but that's just me.

With my expierences the first two to three sits in an area are usually the best for me. It seems after that a person's sent is just to much for these deer to handle. But when you have limited area to hunt like you said i guess you do what ya gotta do then.

Exactly, that's the other part of it. Mature deer get that way because they know how to avoid us. The only way to get better at finding them is by being in the woods, but not so much that you educate them; it's a tricky balancing game and only the deer can tell you how you are doing in it.
