Hoyt Trykon set at 63 pounds. Beman ICS 340 arrows. Rocky Mountain Snyper broadhead. Quartering away shot. Ten yards. Complete pass through.I was never a big expandables guy, but this is two deer in a row using Snypers. Wicked entry hole. Deer piled up quick.

Used a 100 gr Grim Reaper expandable. Shot 6 pt 150# buck at 15 yds.He started forward after doe when I shot and hit him too far back but fortunately struck larger artery and he only went 50 yds.
PROBLEM: Mechanical head never opened. It went completely through him and was laying unopened on the forest floor. It had enough kinetic energy to pass through and only struck soft tissue. The head opened easily by hand after I recovered it. I do not know why the head did not open but this really gives me reason to trust the head further.

Trophy Ridge Rocket Aerohead Steelhead 100 gr. mechanicals. Shot the buck from about 30 yards quartering. The shot went in the neck/chest and came out right behind the rib cage. It run about 70 yards, really impressed with the blood trail.

Alright, I thought I would try the two blade Rage broadheads this year and learned they suck when it comes to bone. Don't get me wrong they are awesome at leaving blood but that is about it. I really think when using these heads you have to aim a bit back. I shot the same buck twice in one week and I think he smiled both times when the arrow smacked him. He is about a four or five year old deer and pushing 150's. I was so worried that I kicked him off our farm the first time and he is still around. When tracking him this morning he was with a doe chasing her around like nothing happened. But I can only blame the person behind the bow, both shots would have been awesome if it was gun season right in that shoulder. Well I think I'm going back to my muzzys, I shouldn't of tried fixing something that wasn't broken.
