Man, they're testin my patience!
 

I was fortunate enough to get to hunt w/ our own jmbuckhuntr this evening, and had a blast. Thank you, sir! I can't wait to do that again!

Anyway, ole moDOEhuntr here showed some SERIOUS restraint! I had a doe walking w/in 20 yards of my stand for an hour and a half this evening, and I didn't shoot her! What is the world coming to???? I still can't believe it. Ok, so that's the THIRD doe I COULD have killed this year, and haven't released an arrow yet......What the?????

You better get that out of your system FAST. You can't carry on this reputation if you go and decide to shoot a buck on us.:D You have orders to hold off the doe's or are you still trying to finish some of last years meat?:D

It IS hard to do sometimes... We all understand that.

I think I wrote last year about the conflicting nature of turning into more of a trophy hunter and the fact that I still just plain love to shoot deer with my bow!!! :)

The pleasure was all mine, Don. We will do it again!!:DMaybe next time that doe will decoy a buck in for ya. I bet your not used to hunting with the neighbors yelling at one another and all of the other things going on in the neighborhood, either huh? Next time I am putting the blind in the back of my pickup and hunting there. I can shoot the ones crossing the yard that way.

And a big thank you to the THERMACELL Inventor. Wouldn't have stayed long without one tonight. Those things are amazing. Light it up and no more bugs, simply wonderfull!:)

I'll be taking mine along tomorrow night; that's for sure!! It'll be interesting to see it in action as I've had it all summer but haven't used it yet.

LOL....Yeah, no kidding!! Reference the blind in the truck ya'll......I could see the truck from my stand, and there were 2 or 3 deer w/in 10 yards of the front of the truck!! I had to laugh, that was TOO funny!

No, I am certainly not used to hunting where I can hear phone conversations, that's for sure. That ambulance scared the you know what outta me, I'll tell ya that! And man, if it weren't for the thermacell, I would have been carried off, of that am I QUITE certain! Ya'll have dive bomber skeeters down there, kind of reminded me of Illinois....[&:]

And hey, I didn't even get lost......:D

I never knew you had an animal magnitism so powerful that even the racoons can't stay away from you......:eek: :D:D

Nothing at all, and I'll let you in on a little secret.....If it were about 30 degrees cooler (It was pushing 90 today) and if I would have had an antlerless tag........I would be deep frying backstraps right now, that's for darn sure!! I was looking at her back salivating....no lie......I WANTED them backstraps!!!

Glad you didn't take it wrong.....I assume you're holding out for a buck....and a buck, only. Rob don't shoot does in his woods.....because he doesn't need to. I wish I didn't......but I can't say having multiple targets is a bad thing (from a pure hunting enjoyment standpoint).

Absolutely nothing at all, nothing but mo has another agenda. He's wanting his first buck and the possible shooting of a doe at this point very well could bust a buck that is standing nearby. He's passing deer looking for that buck.

In your situation Jeff, your maturing as a bowhunter too by recognizing that you NEED to shoot the does to help the herd.

Two different "agendas" with neither being wrong or incorrect. ;)
