jack hammers and rage!

I was just messing around in my garage and shot both. I noticed the jackhammers consistantly had better penetration over the rage 2 blades. I also noticed two time the rage didnt open on the target entrance.

I shot the Jackhammers for the last 3 years and decided to try the RAGE this year. Shot my first deer tonight with the Rage and have mercy what a entrance and exit. Mine def. opened on impact and stayed opened unil 6 inches of earth stopped it. Not saying I the Jackhammers aren't a worthy head, but man these RAGES are amazing. Just my .02

Be carefull about reading to much into how heads open or penetrate in soft foam broadhead targets. Broadheads react much differently in them compared to other materials and more importantly deer. You also didn't mention wich rage you were shooting. If it was the three blade I am not surprised, if it was the two blade, then I would be surprised. Jackhammers are excellent mechanical heads though, sharp, strong, and accurate.

I use jack hammer SST 100 grain, 1 3/4" hole.
Rage 2 blade 2" hole, so makes sense.
