Gonna kill my dog

Set out my double bull matrix the other night to air it out a little from storing it during the summer. While I'm cooking some ribs on my smoker and take a look over in the yard. Here is my dog lifting his leg on the corner of my blind.[:@]I washed it with a pressure washer and scent free detergent, but can still smell dog urine. Do you think that this will have an effect on the deer?? And dont worry I would never kill my dog...;)

Wash it down with a weakamonia solution and then rinse really well. Then spray it down with some scent killer. If you're concerned about possible color damage you could always stop at a local dry cleaning suppliers and pick up a small bottle of Streepro. It a great urine, blood remover that has a balanced PH for safer use on colors. A 12 ounce bottle is about 4 or 5 bucks.

The lingering odor may catch their attention, but I doubt they would view it as a threat, especially since you weakened it.

get some Urine Gone. it works and makes it odorless. then spray down with some scent killer. My dog did the same thing a couple times and Urine Gone seemed to work.

I dont think it would hurt, because in trapping books I have it says dog urine can be used as a scent when coyote or fox trapping. They must smell similar and canines are found in most places, and deer are used to the scent of it. Some people put fox or coyote pee on their boots to mask their scent. Thats what I think.

Get yourself some coon urine to cover it a bit. I use coon on the bottom of my boots everytime I go out.

(((IMO)))

I don't think it would bother the deer. They come in contact with wild dogs all the time. I used to take my Rottie (before she passed) with me in the woods all the time. As any dog would, she "marked her terrority). Never seen any deer get spooky b/c of it.

If you are that worried about it buy a bottle of Odor Nix. Its the best thing I've ever seen. It breaks down the protein. Its used in hospitals and veternarian offices. I use it to hunt with and litearlly swear by it.

Yep I'd bet I've read a hundred times here that urine is urine, the woods is full of urine. The guys who've said advocate peeing rightoff the stand.

I'm against the practise myself. The smell will be gone soon.

There are guys that believe urine doe not bother deer at all. That is unless it has estrous in it. There are many here that swearthat peeing out of their stands have no ill effect at all.
