Gerber telescopic pruning saw

Anyone tried it yet? I was just looking at it in a mag, looks sweet and compact. I have one that is on a wooden pole and about 8' long, i hate it. Im thinking the gerber could actually go hunting with me in new spur of the moment set up's, and just hang in the tree until im exiting the set. Who has got one, what do ya think about it??

Bought mine last year. Love it!! Very easy to pack in and out, and seems to be holding up well. The only thing I would say is to get the extension peice. It seems a little too short without it. You would not be disappointed wtih purchasing one.

I bought one last year for the same reason yo want one. Yes it works great. On several occasions I took it along a hunt and trimmed a branches I missed before season.

Just zip tie a saw blade to those fat fingers of yours and you could do some serious logging.

I was thinking about getting one too until i went to Bass pro's website and read the reviews. They rated the product a 1 out of 5. Several people had problems with the saw breaking, and some of the people said the blade broke the first time using it. Another person said it wasnt worth the Gerber name. This kinda turned me off a little so i didnt end up getting one.

I picked up one at a Bass Pro when working during the Pro Staff days... they had it marked way down, and then with my vendor's discount I couldn't pass it up.

I did note that the blade looked pretty flexible, and therefor might be prone to breaking. I'm anxious to give it a good workout pretty soon.
