Anxiety........
 

So it's now officially killing me to continue waiting for Saturday morning. All of my hunting clothes have been washed and are packed in scent proof bags. All my gear is sitting in a pile in the hallway next to the door. The bow is tuned and hitting 2" dots out to 50 yards. The stands and blinds have been in place. I spend my entire day at the officepretending to work and surfing the internet on various hunting sites because I seem to have the attention span of a mouse and can't think of anything other than bowhunting. Now I sit here at 9:30 in the evening with only 3 sleeps and a wakeup between me and the nanny whacker stand where I plan to sit my first morning and watch the woods come alive for the first time since spring gobbler season.

Is this normal? [8D]

My lovely girlfriend Lisa thinks I'm absolutely nuts. She might just be right...........

It's called Deericitis. A serious but usually not fatal ailment. The only cure is to get into a stand at your first legal convenience and whack one of those tasty critters. lol

Tell me about it Matt. I still have to wash my hunting cloths and get stuff around. I wasn't sure if it was gonna happen but my buddy Kurt (Q2INWHITETAILS) is coming to help and I'm going to try. Even try to get up in a stand with my climbing sticks that are in place. Wish me luck.

I'm not sure how that's going to turn out. After that I won't be hunting again until after this cast comes off Wednesday. While on crutches I can't carry my bow in, Kurt will have to Saturday.

right here with ya....

atleast i got to get rid of the gitters during the special reg early doe season. even got the "first sighting" out of the way..though i didnt get a shot...good to know the gear is all in line and all that...and get that first sighting outta the way. bow was i shakin like a leaf. actually went into melt down. the trail it was one would took it 15yds from me. my mind went nuts. i calmed myself like a champ and prepared for the shot...i SHOULD have hit it with the range finder...then hit it with the binocs and verify it was a doe and made the shot. i borrowed a buddys range finder that day...morning spot i could had a far shot. 7pm it was kinda dark in the woods. never did range the deer because i couldnt tell what it was from the range finder..it has a wierd tint to it...oh well i really dont like pokin one through the woods though i had a clear lane to it...

hopefully this ear/sinus infection is gone by then...feelin better but i got a bit to go before im 100%...either way i will still be out there...just wont last long if im still sick...hope i aint hackin up a lung too...thats the worst...

I hear ya. I was that way before mine opened, and now that it is, I can't seem to BUY my way into the woods.....Oh, did I mention mine is open already? Have I mentioned that?

Sounds exactly like me, I am closing on a house on Friday at 11 am. I told the fiance, who has to work second shift, that she will leave the old appartment and come home to the new house to find the bed unpacked and a ton of boxes. Thats right, I am taking the trailer with the first load to the closing and moving in directly after. Then its off to the cabin and deal with the boxes on Sunday. I am scent washed and packed for 2 days now. It is killing me. Good luck on Sat.
