Default Questions about Rage Broadheads

1. Are they as good as their predecessor, Rocky Mountain Snypers?
2. HOW do you keep them CLOSED in your quiver? I tried 'em, and they just will not stay closed!

Thanks!

You mean nobody has any thoughts on this? I know the pros/cons of expand. broadheads has been debated at length...but I haven't seen anything addressing the quiver issue.

I cannot keep them closed as I gently push them into the foam in my quiver.

Any advice?

Thanks!

This has topic has been wore out here in the past week or so. Do a search on Rage Heads.

But I put rubber bans around the blades to keep them shut. Kinda like the snipers. I highly reccomend you do the same if you do not want them to open at the slightest touch or at the shot.

Mine stay closed just fine. You just snug them up against the o-ring. As far as a quiver goes, I use a quiver with 2 sets of rubber holders. It works nice and the heads don't even touch the broadhead gaurd on the quiver.

Doyour self a favor... Buy agood fixed head and you won't have to worry about the broadhead not doing what it supost to do

Why does everybody want to shoot these heads... Because they cut a 2" wide knife cut???

Or is it because there arrows don't fly well with fixed blade

1. haven't tried the snyper but I've heard better overall reviews from the snyper.
2.they don't stay closed in my quiver. they ALWAYS open. Every time I pull an arrow from my quiver I have to at least check them. If my arrow bumps a branch, I have to check them. If a slight breeze blows, I have to check them. It's a pain.

That said, the broadhead performed flawlessly on the doe I shot this year. The shot was high, but the deer only went about 100 yards. When I saw the shot I was thinking I was in trouble.

Also, the arrow did not blast through the deer like I would have thought. I thought that arrow was sticking into the ground after passing through. It took me about 20 minutes to find the arrow. here it didn't fall out of the deer for about 10 feet (very thick area and it was dark!). Seems to me, I should have had to pull that thing out of the ground!
