I will not shoot a fawn with spots. I wont even pull up on one. I also try to shoot the biggest deer if there are more than one.

I's shoot him to get a buck tag in Earn-A-Buck zones. I passed on one once,didn't have a buck tag for Earn-A-Buck season and guess what, Buckzilla walks by and there was nothing I could do.

I won't shoot a deer with spots I will and have shot one without spots though.As far as hurting the future of the herd as someone said I don't agree with that statement unless that is only age group that was shot.shooting only one age group of deer is far worse on the overall herd than the occasional shooting of a yearling or young buck.For a healthy herd deer of all ages should be taken every year.

Though delectible and tasty, i wouldnt nor could i allow myself to shoot a fawn with spots. Cant say the same if i dont see spots though.

i could never shoot a 26 pound deer because that doe/buck could be ideal in a few years
