how to figure out which does to shoot
 
the privit land i am alowed to hunt i can only shoot does and any buck that is deformed rack wise. When talking to the land owner i told him i just wonted to fillthe frezzer up. And he said that does are better meat wise because there not a tough. He said fawns are the best eating meat

have any of you shot fawns or whould you

also how do you determien whether a doe is a shotter

do you do it by the size or age it as well

I always try to shoot a doe that has a button buck for a fawn. Theoretically, the buck fawn should stay in that area and make it his core area for the rest of his llife. A lot of people will say that this will encourage inbreeding. Doubtful in my opinion. You just killed it's mother so he would have to breed to grandma or sis. And the odds are that they had different fathers than the young button buck. Besides, inbreeding takes place all of the time in the animal world.

I read an article on this last year,they tagged young bucks who's mothers had been killed.it was amazing, I wanna say it was like 85% never left the general area where it's mother was killed.good point.

I don't think it matters much which doe you shoot. Fawns are excellent table fare(think veal) but if you are limited to tags they are also much smaller

I will shoot any Doe as long as she doesn't have young ones with spots!

the ones that come into range.
Be careful not to shoot button bucks, sometimes it is hard to tell
